Election Code § 41.006","heading":"ADJUSTING ELECTION SCHEDULE.","body":"If under this subchapter an election is held on a date other than a date prescribed by other law, the date for a runoff election, the deadline for filing for candidacy, and the schedule for canvassing election returns, declaring results, or performing any other official act relating to the election shall be adjusted to allow the same interval of time in relation to the date of the election as would be provided by application of the other law.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 211, Sec. 1, eff.
