Election Code § 61.031","heading":"USE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE.","body":"(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), an election officer may not use a language other than English in performing an official duty in connection with the election.\n(b) If a voter cannot communicate in English, an election officer may communicate with the voter in a language that the voter and the officer understand.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 211, Sec. 1, eff.
