Estates Code § 1103.001","heading":"APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT OF GUARDIAN.","body":"Not earlier than the 180th day before the proposed ward's 18th birthday, a person may file an application under Section 1101.001 for the appointment of a guardian of the person or estate, or both, of a proposed ward who:\n(1) is a minor; and\n(2) because of incapacity will require a guardianship after the proposed ward is no longer a minor.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 823 (H.B. 2759), Sec. 1.02, eff.
