Estates Code § 22.014","heading":"GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY OF THE STATE.","body":"\"Governmental agency of the state\" means:\n(1) a municipality;\n(2) a county;\n(3) a public school district;\n(4) a special-purpose district or authority;\n(5) a board, commission, department, office, or other agency in the executive branch of state government, including an institution of higher education, as defined by Section 61.003, Education Code;\n(6) the legislature or a legislative agency;\n(7) the supreme court, the court of criminal appeals, a court of appeals, or a district, county, or justice of the peace court;\n(8) a judicial agency having statewide jurisdiction; and\n(9) the State Bar of Texas.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 680 (H.B. 2502), Sec. 1, eff.
