Estates Code § 362.012","heading":"DISCHARGE OF PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE AND BOND SURETIES WHEN NO ESTATE PROPERTY REMAINS; CANCELLATION OF LETTERS.","body":"If, on final settlement of the estate, none of the estate remains in the representative's possession, the court shall enter an order:\n(1) discharging a personal representative from the representative's trust;\n(2) canceling the letters issued to the personal representative;\n(3) discharging and releasing the sureties on the personal representative's bond, if applicable; and\n(4) closing the estate.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 680 (H.B. 2502), Sec. 1, eff.
