Family Code § 108.005","heading":"ADOPTION RECORDS RECEIVED BY VITAL STATISTICS UNIT.","body":"(a) When the vital statistics unit receives a record from the district clerk showing that continuing, exclusive jurisdiction of a child has been lost due to the adoption of the child, the unit shall close the records concerning that child.\n(b) An inquiry concerning a child who has been adopted shall be handled as though the child had not previously been the subject of a suit affecting the parent-child relationship.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 20, Sec. 1, eff.
