Family Code § 157.371","heading":"JURISDICTION.","body":"(a) The relator may file a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in either the court of continuing, exclusive jurisdiction or in a court with jurisdiction to issue a writ of habeas corpus in the county in which the child is found.\n(b) Although a habeas corpus proceeding is not a suit affecting the parent-child relationship, the court may refer to the provisions of this title for definitions and procedures as appropriate.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 20, Sec. 1, eff.
