Family Code § 160.611","heading":"PROCEEDINGS BEFORE BIRTH.","body":"(a) A proceeding to determine parentage commenced before the birth of the child may not be concluded until after the birth of the child.\n(b) In a proceeding described by Subsection (a), the following actions may be taken before the birth of the child:\n(1) service of process;\n(2) discovery; and\n(3) except as prohibited by Section 160.502, collection of specimens for genetic testing.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 821, Sec. 1.01, eff.
