Family Code § 162.101","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Appropriate public authorities,\" with reference to this state, means the commissioner of the Department of Family and Protective Services.\n(2) \"Appropriate authority in the receiving state,\" with reference to this state, means the commissioner of the Department of Family and Protective Services.\n(3) \"Compact\" means the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children.\n(4) \"Executive head,\" with reference to this state, means the governor.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 20, Sec. 1, eff.
