Family Code § 262.303","heading":"NOTIFICATION OF POSSESSION OF ABANDONED CHILD.","body":"(a) Not later than the close of the first business day after the date on which a designated emergency infant care provider takes possession of a child under Section 262.302, the provider shall notify the Department of Family and Protective Services that the provider has taken possession of the child.\n(b) The department shall assume the care, control, and custody of the child immediately on receipt of notice under Subsection (a).\nAmended by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 809, Sec. 4, eff.
