Family Code § 264.011","heading":"LOCAL ACCOUNTS.","body":"(a) The department may establish and maintain local bank or savings accounts for a child who is under the managing conservatorship of the department as necessary to administer funds received in trust for or on behalf of the child.\n(b) Funds maintained in an account under this section may be used by the department to support the child, including for the payment of foster care expenses, or may be paid to a person providing care for the child.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 575, Sec. 26, eff.
