{"data":{"id":"us-tx/tex.-family-code-266.012","jurisdiction":"us-tx","citation":"Tex. Family Code § 266.012","heading":"COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENTS.","body":"(a) Not later than the 45th day after the date a child enters the conservatorship of the department, the child shall receive:\n(1) a developmentally appropriate comprehensive assessment that includes:\n(A) a screening for trauma; and\n(B) interviews with individuals who have knowledge of the child's needs; and\n(2) a screening for risk of commercial sexual exploitation using a validated, evidenced-informed tool selected by the Child Sex Trafficking Prevention Unit established under Section 772.0062, Government Code, if:\n(A) validation guidelines based on the child's age indicate the screening is appropriate; or\n(B) concerns of commercial sexual exploitation exist.\n(b) The department shall develop guidelines regarding the contents of an assessment report.\n(c) A single source continuum contractor under Subchapter B-1, Chapter 264, providing therapeutic foster care services to a child shall ensure that the child receives a comprehensive assessment under this section at least once every 90 days.\nAdded by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 11 (S.B. 125), Sec. 1, eff.
