Family Code § 58.103","heading":"PURPOSE OF SYSTEM.","body":"The purpose of the juvenile justice information system is to:\n(1) provide agencies and personnel within the juvenile justice system accurate information relating to children who come into contact with the juvenile justice system of this state;\n(2) provide, where allowed by law, adult criminal justice agencies accurate and easily accessible information relating to children who come into contact with the juvenile justice system;\n(3) provide an efficient conversion, where appropriate, of juvenile records to adult criminal records;\n(4) improve the quality of data used to conduct impact analyses of proposed legislative changes in the juvenile justice system; and\n(5) improve the ability of interested parties to analyze the functioning of the juvenile justice system.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 262, Sec. 53, eff.
