Finance Code § 11.101","heading":"APPOINTMENT; TERMS; OATH.","body":"(a) The Finance Commission of Texas is composed of 11 members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate.\n(b) Members of the finance commission serve staggered six-year terms, with as near as possible to one-third of the members' terms expiring February 1 of each even-numbered year.\n(c) An appointment to the finance commission must be made without regard to the race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin of the appointee.\nActs 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1008, Sec. 1, eff.
