Finance Code § 14.055","heading":"LIABILITY.","body":"(a) The commissioner or an assistant commissioner, examiner, or other employee of the office is not personally liable for damages arising from the person's official act or omission unless the act or omission is corrupt or malicious.\n(b) The attorney general shall defend an action brought against a person because of an official act or omission under Subsection (a) regardless of whether the person has terminated service with the office when the action is instituted.\nActs 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1008, Sec. 1, eff.
