Finance Code § 154.054","heading":"EXAMINATION FEE.","body":"(a) For each examination conducted under Section 154.053, the commissioner or the commissioner's agent shall impose on the seller a fee in an amount set by the commission under Section 154.051 and based on the seller's total outstanding contracts.\n(b) The amount of the fee must be sufficient to cover:\n(1) the cost of the examination, including:\n(A) salary and travel expenses for department employees, including travel to and from the place where the records are kept; and\n(B) any other expense necessarily incurred in conducting the examination;\n(2) the equitable or proportionate cost of maintaining and operating the department; and\n(3) the cost of enforcing this chapter.\nActs 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1008, Sec. 1, eff.
