Finance Code § 180.203","heading":"CEASE AND DESIST ORDERS.","body":"A regulatory official may:\n(1) order or direct a person subject to regulation under this chapter to cease and desist from conducting business, including issuing an immediate temporary order to cease and desist from conducting business;\n(2) order or direct a person subject to regulation under this chapter to cease a violation of this chapter or a harmful activity in violation of this chapter, including issuing an immediate temporary order to cease and desist;\n(3) enter immediate temporary orders against a person subject to regulation under this chapter to cease engaging in business under a license if the regulatory official determines that the license was erroneously granted or the license holder is in violation of this chapter; and\n(4) order or direct other affirmative action as the regulatory official considers necessary.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1104 (H.B. 10), Sec. 1, eff.
