Finance Code § 347.153","heading":"REQUIREMENTS FOR AMENDMENT.","body":"(a) Before an amendment of a credit transaction may take effect it must be:\n(1) confirmed in writing;\n(2) signed by the consumer; and\n(3) returned to the creditor.\n(b) The writing must state:\n(1) the terms of the amendment; and\n(2) the new due dates and amounts of the installments.\n(c) The creditor shall:\n(1) deliver a copy of the writing to the consumer; or\n(2) mail a copy of the writing to the consumer's address shown on the credit document.\nActs 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1008, Sec. 1, eff.
