Finance Code § 66.054","heading":"SUBPOENA; ADMINISTRATION OF OATH OR AFFIRMATION.","body":"(a) In an examination conducted under this subchapter, the commissioner, the deputy commissioner, or an examiner or auditor of the commissioner may:\n(1) subpoena witnesses;\n(2) administer an oath or affirmation to a person, including a director, officer, agent, or employee of an association; or\n(3) require and compel by subpoena the production of documents, including records, books, papers, and contracts.\n(b) The commissioner may apply to a district court in Travis County for an order requiring a person to obey a subpoena or to appear or answer questions in connection with an examination.\n(c) The court shall issue an order under Subsection (b) if the court finds good cause to issue the subpoena or to take testimony.\nActs 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1008, Sec. 1, eff.
