Government Code § 1432.003","heading":"AUTHORITY FOR SPORTS CENTERS.","body":"(a) A local government may construct, acquire, lease, improve, enlarge, and operate one or more facilities used for sporting activities or events, including auxiliary facilities such as parking areas or restaurants.\n(b) A local government may contract with any public or private entity, including a coliseum advisory board or similar body, to perform any function authorized under this chapter other than an official governmental act that must be performed by the governing body of a local government.\nAdded by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 227, Sec. 1, eff.
