Government Code § 1501.205","heading":"NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE BONDS.","body":"(a) A municipality may not issue bonds under this subchapter until the mayor of the municipality gives notice of the municipality's intention to issue the bonds.\n(b) The notice must:\n(1) be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the municipality once each week for two consecutive weeks, with the first publication being before the 14th day before the date the governing body of the municipality proposes to adopt an ordinance authorizing the issuance of the bonds; and\n(2) state the maximum:\n(A) amount of bonds to be issued;\n(B) interest rate of the bonds; and\n(C) maturity of the bonds.\nAdded by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 227, Sec. 1, eff.
