Government Code § 1509.156","heading":"ELECTION.","body":"(a) The governing body of the municipality may not issue bonds under this subchapter unless the issuance is authorized by a majority of the qualified voters of the municipality voting at an election held for that purpose.\n(b) The governing body shall hold the election, to the extent practicable, in compliance with Chapter 1251.\nAdded by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 227, Sec. 1, eff.
