Government Code § 152.055","heading":"TERMS; VACANCY; REMOVAL.","body":"(a) Members of the commission serve staggered six-year terms. The terms of three members expire on February 1 of each odd-numbered year.\n(b) If a vacancy occurs during a member's term, the supreme court shall appoint a similarly qualified person to fill the unexpired term.\n(c) The supreme court may remove a member of the commission for inefficiency or neglect of duty in office.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 42 (S.B. 966), Sec. 1.01, eff.
