Government Code § 2002.001","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Administrative code\" means the Texas Administrative Code.\n(2) \"Internet\" means the largest nonproprietary nonprofit cooperative public computer network, popularly known as the Internet.\n(3) \"State agency\" means a state officer, board, commission, or department with statewide jurisdiction that makes rules or determines contested cases other than:\n(A) an agency wholly financed by federal money;\n(B) the legislature;\n(C) the courts;\n(D) the Texas Department of Insurance, as regards proceedings and activities under Title 5, Labor Code, of the department, the commissioner of insurance, or the commissioner of workers' compensation; or\n(E) an institution of higher education.\n(4) The following terms have the meanings assigned by Section 2001.003:\n(A) \"contested case\";\n(B) \"license\";\n(C) \"licensing\";\n(D) \"party\";\n(E) \"person\"; and\n(F) \"rule.\"\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 268, Sec. 1, eff.
