June 18, 2005.\n(3) \"Licensing entity\" means a department, commission, board, office, or other agency of the state or a political subdivision of the state that issues an occupational license.\n(4) \"Local government\" means a county, municipality, special district, school district, junior college district, or other political subdivision of the state.\n(5) \"Occupational license\" means a license, certificate, registration, permit, or other form of authorization, including a renewal of the authorization, that:\n(A) a person must obtain to practice or engage in a particular business, occupation, or profession; or\n(B) a facility must obtain before a particular business, occupation, or profession is practiced or engaged in within the facility.\n(6) \"Project\" means the project implemented under Section 2054.252.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 342, Sec. 3, eff.
