Government Code § 2054.259","heading":"GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES OF DEPARTMENT.","body":"The department shall:\n(1) develop policies related to operation of the project;\n(2) approve or disapprove services to be provided by the project;\n(3) operate and promote the project;\n(4) oversee contract performance for the project;\n(5) comply with department financial requirements;\n(6) oversee money generated for the operation and expansion of the project;\n(7) develop project pricing policies, including policies regarding any fees that a state agency, including the department, or a local government may charge for a transaction that uses the project;\n(8) evaluate participation in the project to determine if performance efficiencies or other benefits and opportunities are gained through project implementation; and\n(9) perform periodic security audits of the operational facilities of the project.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 342, Sec. 3, eff.
