Government Code § 2152.053","heading":"ELIGIBILITY.","body":"An individual is not eligible for appointment to the commission if the individual or the individual's spouse:\n(1) is employed by or participates in the management of a business entity or other organization that contracts with the commission;\n(2) owns or controls, directly or indirectly, more than a 10 percent interest in a business entity or other organization that contracts with the state; or\n(3) uses or receives a substantial amount of tangible goods, services, or money from the commission, other than compensation or reimbursement authorized by law for commission membership, attendance, or expenses.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 41, Sec. 1, eff.
