Government Code § 2166.202","heading":"SELECTION OF PRIVATE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL; RULES.","body":"(a) The commission is responsible for selecting any private design professional retained for a project subject to this chapter.\n(b) The commission, in consultation with the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, shall adopt by rule criteria to evaluate the competence and qualifications of a prospective private design professional.\n(c) The commission shall select a private design professional in accordance with a rule adopted under this section and the ethical standards of the professional societies of architects and engineers.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 41, Sec. 1, eff.
