Government Code § 2177.004","heading":"BOARD MEMBER QUALIFICATIONS.","body":"(a) A person may not serve as a board member if the person:\n(1) has held any other elective public office during the preceding five years; or\n(2) is an employee of an entity served by the initiative.\n(b) Not more than one-third of the members of the board serving at any one time may derive more than 10 percent of their annual income from the health care, insurance, or pharmaceutical industry.\nAdded by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 891 (H.B. 4990), Sec. 1, eff.
