Government Code § 2253.023","heading":"ATTEMPTED COMPLIANCE.","body":"(a) A bond furnished by a prime contractor in an attempt to comply with this chapter shall be construed to comply with this chapter regarding the rights created, limitations on those rights, and remedies provided.\n(b) A provision in a bond furnished by a prime contractor in an attempt to comply with this chapter that expands or restricts a right or liability under this chapter shall be disregarded, and this chapter shall apply to that bond.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 268, Sec. 1, eff.
