Government Code § 2270.0121","heading":"DESIGNATION AS COUNTRY OF CONCERN.","body":"(a) The governor, after consultation with the public safety director of the Department of Public Safety, may designate a country as a country of concern for purposes of this subchapter.\n(b) The governor shall consult the Homeland Security Council, established under Subchapter B, Chapter 421, to assess the status of a country of concern for purposes of making a designation under this section.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 362 (H.B. 34), Sec. 3, eff.
