Government Code § 2306.585","heading":"DUTIES OF COLONIA RESIDENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE.","body":"(a) The Colonia Resident Advisory Committee shall advise the board regarding:\n(1) the needs of colonia residents;\n(2) appropriate and effective programs that are proposed or are operated through the self-help centers; and\n(3) activities that may be undertaken through the self-help centers to better serve the needs of colonia residents.\n(b) The advisory committee shall meet before the 30th day preceding the date on which a contract is scheduled to be awarded for the operation of a self-help center and may meet at other times.\n(c) The advisory committee shall advise the colonia initiatives coordinator as provided by Section 775.005.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 1016, Sec. 1, eff.
