Government Code § 2306.751","heading":"DEFINITION.","body":"In this subchapter, \"owner-builder\" means a person, other than a person who owns or operates a construction business:\n(1) who:\n(A) owns or purchases a piece of real property through a warranty deed or a warranty deed and deed of trust; or\n(B) is purchasing a piece of real property under a contract for deed entered into before January 1, 1999; and\n(2) who undertakes to make improvements to that property.\nAdded by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 1548, Sec. 1, eff.
