Government Code § 2308.053","heading":"PRESIDING OFFICER.","body":"(a) The governor shall designate one of the business or labor representatives on the council as the presiding officer of the council to serve in that capacity at the pleasure of the governor.\n(b) The presiding officer of the council shall designate a member of the council as assistant presiding officer to preside in the absence of the presiding officer.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 5.81(a), eff.
