Government Code § 25.0009","heading":"VACANCY.","body":"(a) The commissioners court of each county shall appoint a person to fill a vacancy in the office of judge of a statutory county court.\n(b) The appointee holds office until the next general election and until the successor is elected and has qualified.\n(c) This section applies to a vacancy existing on creation of the office of judge.\nAdded by Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 148, Sec. 4.01, eff.
