Government Code § 25.0014","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS OF JUDGE.","body":"The judge of a statutory county court must:\n(1) be at least 25 years of age;\n(2) be a United States citizen and have resided in the county for at least two years before election or appointment; and\n(3) be a licensed attorney in this state who has practiced law or served as a judge of a court in this state, or both combined, for the four years preceding election or appointment, unless otherwise provided for by law.\nAdded by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 746, Sec. 6, eff.
