Government Code § 3002.101","heading":"CIVIL PENALTY.","body":"(a) A political subdivision or state agency that violates this chapter is liable for a civil penalty of:\n(1) $25,000 for the first violation; and\n(2) $125,000 for the second or a subsequent violation.\n(b) Each day of a continuing violation of this chapter constitutes a separate violation.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., 2nd C.S., Ch. 20 (S.B. 8), Sec. 2, eff.
