Government Code § 3100.004","heading":"STATE FLAG MOUNTED ON FLAGSTAFF.","body":"(a) If the state flag is mounted on a flagstaff:\n(1) the flag should be attached at the peak of the staff;\n(2) the staff should be at least 2-1/2 times as long as the flag's hoist; and\n(3) if the staff has a finial, the finial should be a star or a spearhead.\n(b) If the state flag is permanently mounted on a flagstaff:\n(1) the flag may be decorated with gold fringe; and\n(2) the staff may be decorated with gold cord or tassels.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1420, Sec. 7.001, eff.
