Government Code § 3104.002","heading":"DESIGNATING POET LAUREATE, STATE MUSICIANS, AND STATE ARTISTS.","body":"(a) The committee shall designate:\n(1) a Texas poet laureate;\n(2) a Texas state musician for the classical genre;\n(3) a Texas state musician for the nonclassical genre;\n(4) a Texas state artist for two-dimensional media; and\n(5) a Texas state artist for three-dimensional media.\n(b) The committee shall choose the poet laureate, state musicians, and state artists from a list of persons submitted by the commission.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1276, Sec. 9.024(a), eff.
