Government Code § 325.002","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"State agency\" means an entity expressly made subject to this chapter.\n(2) \"Advisory committee\" means a committee, council, commission, or other entity created under state law whose primary function is to advise a state agency.\n(3) \"Commission\" means the Sunset Advisory Commission.\n(4) \"Regulatory agency\" means a department, commission, board, or other agency that:\n(A) is created by the constitution or by statute;\n(B) is in the executive branch of state government;\n(C) has statewide authority; and\n(D) has authority to deny, grant, renew, revoke, or suspend a license, certification, or other authorization to engage in an activity.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 479, Sec. 1, eff.
