Government Code § 325.015","heading":"CONTINUATION BY LAW.","body":"(a) During the regular session immediately before the abolition of a state agency or an advisory committee that is subject to this chapter, the legislature by law may continue the agency or advisory committee for a period not to exceed 12 years.\n(b) This chapter does not prohibit the legislature from:\n(1) terminating a state agency or advisory committee subject to this chapter at a date earlier than that provided in this chapter; or\n(2) considering any other legislation relative to a state agency or advisory committee subject to this chapter.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 479, Sec. 1, eff.
