Government Code § 411.154","heading":"ENFORCEMENT BY COURT ORDER.","body":"(a) On the request of the director, a district or county attorney or the attorney general may petition a district court for an order requiring a person to:\n(1) comply with this subchapter or a rule adopted under this subchapter; or\n(2) refrain from acting in violation of this subchapter or a rule adopted under this subchapter.\n(b) The court may issue an order requiring a person:\n(1) to act in compliance with this subchapter or a rule adopted under this subchapter;\n(2) to refrain from acting in violation of this subchapter or a rule adopted under this subchapter;\n(3) to provide a DNA sample; or\n(4) if the person has already provided a DNA sample, to provide another sample if good cause is shown.\n(c) An order issued under this section is appealable as a criminal matter and if appealed is to be reviewed under an abuse of discretion standard.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 595, Sec. 1, eff.
