Government Code § 418.152","heading":"COMPENSATION FOR SERVICES AND PROPERTY.","body":"(a) Services or the taking or use of property shall be compensated only to the extent that:\n(1) the obligations recognized in this chapter are exceeded in a particular case; and\n(2) the claimant may not be considered to have volunteered services or property without compensation.\n(b) Personal services may not be compensated by the state or a subdivision or agency of the state except under statute or ordinance.\n(c) Compensation for property may be made only if the property was commandeered or otherwise used in coping with a disaster and its use or destruction was ordered by the governor or a member of the disaster forces of this state.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 147, Sec. 1, eff.
