Government Code § 418.332","heading":"CERTIFICATION AND CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICERS.","body":"(a) Each of the following entities shall employ or appoint a public information officer who must obtain certification in emergency communications from the division and complete continuing education on emergency communications as provided by this subchapter:\n(1) a municipality;\n(2) a county;\n(3) an independent school district;\n(4) an open-enrollment charter school; and\n(5) the division.\n(b) The chief administrator of an agency may be appointed or employed as a public information officer.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 361 (H.B. 33), Sec. 12, eff.
