Government Code § 419.039","heading":"CRIMINAL PENALTY.","body":"(a) A person commits an offense if the person:\n(1) accepts an appointment in violation of Section 419.032 or 419.037;\n(2) knowingly accepts an appointment in violation of Section 419.038;\n(3) appoints or retains a person in violation of Section 419.032; or\n(4) appoints a person in violation of Section 419.037 or 419.038.\n(b) An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $1,000.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 147, Sec. 1, eff.
