Government Code § 421.024","heading":"DUTIES.","body":"The council shall, in collaboration with the Homeland Security Division of the Department of Public Safety, advise the governor on:\n(1) the implementation of the governor's homeland security strategy by state and local agencies and provide specific suggestions for helping those agencies implement the strategy; and\n(2) other matters related to the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of initiatives to promote the governor's homeland security strategy.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1312, Sec. 1, eff.
