Government Code § 421.042","heading":"PRIVATE SECTOR ADVISORY COUNCIL.","body":"(a) The Private Sector Advisory Council is a permanent special advisory committee created to advise the governor or the governor's designee on homeland security issues relevant to the private sector.\n(b) The council is composed of:\n(1) one representative of a private organization or entity for each of the following sectors of the state, each appointed by the governor or the governor's designee:\n(A) agriculture and food;\n(B) banking and finance;\n(C) chemicals and hazardous materials;\n(D) the defense industry;\n(E) energy;\n(F) emergency services;\n(G) information technology;\n(H) telecommunications;\n(I) postal and shipping;\n(J) public health;\n(K) transportation;\n(L) ports and waterways; and\n(M) national monuments and icons; and\n(2) other members, as determined by the governor or the governor's designee.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 1337 (S.B. 9), Sec. 11, eff.
