Government Code § 43.178","heading":"349TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT.","body":"(a) The voters of Houston County elect a district attorney for the 349th Judicial District who represents the state in all cases before that district court only in that county.\n(b) The district attorney, with the approval of the Commissioners Court of Houston County, may appoint the necessary assistants, investigators, and personnel for the office.\n(c) The salaries of the staff of the district attorney and the operating expenses of the office of the district attorney must be paid from the general fund of the county.\n(d) An investigator appointed by the district attorney must take the constitutional oath of office.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 480, Sec. 1, eff.
