Government Code § 432.033","heading":"JURISDICTION OF GENERAL COURT-MARTIAL.","body":"(a) Subject to Section 432.032, a general court-martial has jurisdiction to try a person subject to this chapter for any offense made punishable by this chapter and may, under limitations the governor prescribes, adjudge any of the following punishments:\n(1) reprimand;\n(2) forfeiture of pay and allowances;\n(3) a fine of not more than $10,000;\n(4) reduction of any enlisted member to any lower rank;\n(5) confinement for not more than five years;\n(6) dismissal or bad conduct or dishonorable discharge; or\n(7) any combination of those punishments.\n(b) A dismissal or dishonorable discharge may not be adjudged unless a complete record of the proceedings and testimony is made, counsel having the qualifications prescribed under Section 432.046(b) is detailed to represent the accused; and a military judge is detailed to the trial.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 147, Sec. 1, eff.
