Government Code § 434.006","heading":"OFFICERS; COMMISSION ACTIONS.","body":"(a) The governor shall designate a member of the commission as the presiding officer of the commission to serve in that capacity at the pleasure of the governor.\n(b) The commission annually shall elect from among its members an assistant presiding officer and a secretary. An officer shall serve until the officer's successor is appointed and qualified.\n(c) The commission shall meet at least once in each three-month period. No action may be taken by less than a majority of the commission.\nActs 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 147, Sec. 1, eff.
